Help me decide

Hi Everyone,

I am 17 weeks along and I have been having a REALLY hard time with just about everything.  Extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety (which is starting to turn into panic attacks) and lots of work stress.

My PCP wants to take me off work in hopes the additional stress from there will help improve other areas.

I want to do what is best for me and especially my baby, but if I go out on TDI I don't think I could ever return as my boss would be furious since we are currently working on some big changes and I as the manager for my department is a key person in these changes.  I would then be faced with the stress of no job and I am not sure that would be less stressful than continuing to work.

I need help deciding what is best.....

You need to do what is best for you. Not worry about your company and their needs. Can you try a part time basis or working partly from home? No job is hard. It wouldn't be something I'd do lightly. But do think hard if it is causing you and the baby to be unhealthy. That company wont be there for you if you get so sick you have to quit anyway. Its hard. What about other stressers you have some control over? Can you cut anything else out?

I tried to get my hours reduced and was told no.  Other stresses? Really right now the stress from my job is overshadowing everything else.  Honestly my eating hasn't been great, as I have had bad morning sickness so eating "whatever" is what I have been doing.  If my eating improved it may help me feel better.  I was given meds to help with the vomiting and that has helped.  Thanks.

extreme fatigue can cause all of the other issues...maybe a week off to regroup... rest (still send the baby to where ever the baby goes while at work) and come back with a new head

Worth a try I suppose, but with the changes at work it will be stressful for a while....

Ask yourself how important your job is to you and if you are truely happy at that company. Also look at what your making and what your cost would be putting 2 kids in daycare....is it worth the money you would bring home after all your other expenses (child care, wardrobe, gas, eating out at lunch time, etc.). Bottom line, you need to do what is best for you! Good luck with what you decide!

Its a hard choice.....you need to do whats best for you and your little one!
I had the girls in April and my leave ended in the middle of summer time why school was out. When school started back up I had been back to work for only two days and found out I was pregnant.I had a Dr apt the following week and Dr pulled me I didn't want to stop working because I just went back and loved my job and didn't want to lose it and still don't.I want to go back next year being that my leave will end in the middle of summer again going back in August my hubby doesn't want me to go back because child care cost so much.I only work 5 hours a day.I'm hoping they will put me on the subbing list so I can go in when need that way when this little girl starts school I can then go back hours work great with kids, family, sports, home on weekends. Its hard to weight whats best and whats best is my kids and family.
I wish you the best you will do whats best!

May my Angles rest in peace.....
