Heartburn in old stomach...nauseating me!

I had RNY in 2006 and I'm now 14 weeks pregnant and in the last week or so, I've been getting a deep burn, familiar of heartburn, but I can tell it's in my old stomach, so Tums doesn't seem to be hitting the spot, nor much of anything else that usually soothes the burn... Anyone else experience this during pregnancy? It's so bad that it's nauseating me :-/

Are there any good resources besides forums for what to expect and differences in pregnancy for post-op women? All I find are the usuals: wait 18 months, take all your vitamins, but I'm looking for more details than what they usually post for newly post-op women... Doesn't seem to be much out there...??

congrats!.. you wont find much.. its sort of uncharted waters and nothing is on paper yet... that being said...  your going to have to find something ( such as prilosec) that works by getting thru your blood system and controling it that way... the good news is- there really isnt much of a difference between post op babies and babies born to non-ops.... you will need blood work done every trimester just to make sure your where you should be,..try to keep out of ketosis... its not good for baby brain ( there really are no studies about this... either way).. good luck and congrats!
