I was totally wrong worring about weight GAIN....
So my last post I was neurotic I think....weighing in at the doctor at 193....you can all laugh with me because now I've got the opposite problem...I'm losing weight. I don't go to the doctor until this upcoming wednesday...and I did get a little stomach bug for about a week and went to Disneyland and likely walked 1 billion miles...but still...I'm weighing in on my home scale at about 176-177....with jammies on...so maybe 180 with clothes? Thats a lot of missing weight that I misplaced somehow. BUT.....I am trying not to stress...as baby is 20 weeks this monday....and healthy and kicking me. I'm just trying to eat when I'm hungery....which hasn't been much since I'm still battling nausea ALL the time.
This pregnancy after the bypass is such a different thing. I ate and ate with my first pregnancy (eating myself to a good 278 by the end of my pregnancy) and now I can't eat enough....in a way it fascinates me. I'm a little worried about third trimester where caloric needs increase a lot...but I'm trying not to stress if my doctor and midwife don't freak. I'm not sure how many gasric patients they have dealt with so far...but they have been pretty understanding so far.
So....I thought I would share with you ladies.
I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I was thinking about creating a secret invite only group on facebook for pregnant gastric bypassers.....anyone interested? I kind of thought it would be fun since I spend so much time on facebook and forget to come here. I'll do another post about it...so they are seperate.
Thanks for all the support ladies!

(ps I FINALLY got my avatar to update) that's me at 170 pounds almost a year to date from my surgery....(two days off)

There are a couple of Pregnant after WLS groups out there. One is secret and the other is closed. Tomorrow I hit 8 weeks pregnant and I am 18 months post op RNY. I am having a hard time finding people to relate to. A lot of them are within their first year of surgery.
I hardly ever come on here, but you are more than welcome to fb friend request me. Kris Artis. I can add you to the groups I belong to.
Good Luck to you!

I lost weight throughout my entire first and part way into my second trimester. I'm 31 weeks along tomorrow, and don't worry - it's all catching up to me now! I didn't think I'd ever see a number starting with a 2 on my scale again, but there it is now, every day...and still climbing! :P I'll worry about it after I have a happy, healthy baby :)
I belong to a post-WLS pregnancy group on the forums at babycenter.com. It's slow, so new members are totaly welcome :)
