I hear you on the first birthday part. Blake's first was yesterday. We had his party last weekend and had a duck theme. It turned out very cute. I bought blue hawaiian punch and floated baby ducks in it, made blue jello and put marshmallows and ducks in it, had ducks on the big cake and the "smash" cake for Blake. I had the blow up duck bath tub and put colorful buckets full of chips and bugles (duck beaks) inside the tub. I found a duck pinata and put it in balloons that were white and blue so it looked like he was in bubbles. I also took orange sherbert and scooped a large ball into a cupcake liner and then put a smaller ball of ice cream on the front of that, added two chocolate chips for eyes and two pieces of almonds for the beak so his ice cream looked like ducks as well. We had fun. I think next year I will do the "go somewhere" theme so I can pay someone else to do the work! lol
