Why can't you swallow pills? Most only need chewables or liquids for the first few weeks post-op, not forever. I've been swallowing regular pills since the day I came home from the hospital from my surgery. I do find capsules easier to swallow than tablets, so I opt for capsules.
Also, I never switched to a prenatal. My labs have been great with the supplements I was taking pre-pregnancy; all I added was a DHA supplement when I found out I was pregnant. So, I take 2 multivitamins (TwinLab brand capsules), calcium citrate (TwinLab brand capsules), Vitalady Tender Iron (small capsules), and sublingual B12 (being sublingual, it's not a pill you swallow anyway). I also take vit D (tiny capsules from Vitalady), zinc (TwinLab brand capsules), vitamin C capsules, and probiotic capsules all based on my labs and personal needs.

I take an over the counter gummy pretnatal - but I am one of the weird ones who cannot tolerate pills well... I am almost 3 years out and still have bariatric calcium because I tend to get nauseated with any pills that are not small. I have only tolerated tylenol and iron in a pill format, and I am still on the fence with iron, but have only taken it for about 3 days now.
That said my vitamin schedule....
wake up - 2 Gummy Prenatals (Recommended dose)
arrive in my office - 1 Bariatric Advantage Calcium lozenge
After Lunch - 1 Bariatric Advantage Calcium lozenge
3pm - 1 Bariatric Advantage Calcium lozenge
Dinner - 1 Iron Tablet (started at the beginning of my 3rd trimester after getting labs done)
Bedtime - 2 Gummy Prenatals
On the 12th of each month I inject myself with b12...
I was taking one a day gummy vitamins before getting pregnant and my labs were on par - the only low I have ever had was my "D" and we went back to 3 calcium a day from 2 at 18 months post op and fixed that... Until now, my iron and ferratin had been on par or high...
I am of course ONE person, and your vitamins should be monitored closely by your OB - if they do not want to monitor, call your bariatric surgeon or PCP until SOMEONE is willing to listen to you and do labs at least every 6 weeks - I have done mine monthly since I found I was pregnant...
