Terrified of getting pregnant

I just had the sleeve done 10 weeks ago.  I know that you're supposed to wait at least a year (or longer) before getting pregnant.  First of all, I'm 23 years old, don't have kids yet and I'm working on my MBA.  However, I've been with my husband for six years and the baby topic comes up often.  I don't want to have a baby.  I'm terrified of getting pregnant.  And I can't imagine losing all this weight and then getting pregnant and gaining it all back.  I'm wondering if that will change.  I know that once your pregnant you get "excited" and it's all great and blah blah blah.  However, will this fear of pregnancy every go away?

One of the primary reasons I had WLS was TO have healthier pregnancies! I had surgery when I was 26 and knew I wanted to have kids in the future. I am now 28 weeks pregnant, and I KNOW 110% that this pregnancy is going as well and as easily as it is because I'm no longer morbidly obese or battling type 2 diabetes daily.

I have NO fear of "ganing it all back" with pregnancy. I lost over 120 pounds. If I gain 120 pounds during my pregnancy, there is definitely something wrong  :P   I'm just entering my third trimester, and so far, I've gained 11 pounds. 11. I can likely expect to gain about a pound a week from here on out, which will bring my total gain throughout to less than 30 pounds. Having the baby will take care of a good chunk of that, and then I only expect to have to lose less than 20 pounds after I have the baby to get my weight back to where it was. Absolutely worth it, if you ask me! Even if I never lose any of the baby weight, I'll still be MUCH better off than I would have been had I not had the surgery.

You just have to want it. You're obviously not ready for a baby in the near future, and maybe you never will be (that's different for everyone and a very individual choice). If/when you are, the thought of having a baby will far outweigh your concern of potentially reganing some weight. It may still be a concern, but wanting the baby will be worth the "risk."
