First try? With the fertility specialist help? 

 

Yep! I did! I met the RE and had a consultation when I was mid-cycle in Nov. We started with an injectable drug + IUI plan for my first cycle with the RE and it worked :) He said about 25% of his clients get pregnant on their first try with him. I think it really depends on how aggressive you want to be right off the bat. He gave me 3 options: clomid cycle with IUI, injectable cycle with IUI, or invitro. I chose injectables because I had already done 3 cycles of clomid and ovulated, but didn't get pregnant. AND because I only have one tube (on my left side) and so the months that I had an egg on the right side wouldn't do me any good. I had a higher chance of having an eggie on the right and the left with injectables.

I was on shots of HMG, a gonadatropin, here is an article about it:

Then I took a trigger shot of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) to make me ovulate all the follicles. I had ultrasound monitoring during the cycle to monitor the growth of my follicles. My doctor increased my dose one week into the injections because my body wasn't responding as well as we hoped.
Anyway, I ended up with 1 or 2 follicles on my left ovary and 3 on my right.
