Hello there! I have not been on this site in a very long time, but I know someone here will have meaningful input for me! I am almost 3 years postop from gastric bypass surgery and am 24 weeks pregnant. My doctor is aware that I cannot do the standard glucose tolerance testing and has given me a glucometer to test at home. She wants me to do fasting and 2 hours after meals.  My question is regarding the 2 hour testing....is it 2 hours from the start of my meal or 2 hours after I finish. Thanks ladies!

I was given the same guidelines and was told 2 hours from the first bite of my meal. Good luck!

Mine was 2 hours after starting a meal. You can double check with your Dr. to make sure.

It's 2 hours "after first bite," so from the start of the meal. If you're measuring from the end of the meal, then the readings will vary depending on how long you took to eat.
