its officially official :)
went to my endo today. he just took blood. he wants to check my progesterone levels and wants me to come back tuesday so he'll have a more accurate idea of how far along i am.
they called me this afternoon to tell me my progesterone was low. so i have to take these vaginal pills. has anyone had to take these before? doesn't sound pleasant. like i need to worry about taking 2 more pills a day. lol. but oh well. :)
i'm waiting for the pharmacist to call me back for that. and the doc wants me to come in friday for more bloodwork. boy things sure change when you're pregnant. you get pushed right to the front of the list and see the doctor right away. thats never happened before. i feel like i'm part of an exclusive club now. lol.
i'm trying not to get too excited. my doc and i had a talk about miscarriages and how with like me with PCOS have a 25-30% chance of miscarriage. but he says the important thing is that i got pregnant. thats the important thing. and if it happened once it can happen again. so i'm being cautious.
i snuck off to that apt this am without telling my husband. i was still thinking of a cute way to tell him. but then he was in the room when the dr called me back and he asked me what it was about and i couldn't hold it in any longer. i said, ok i wanted to tell you this in a cute way but that was the doctor. i had a dr apt today. and he said why? and i said....hold on..and i grabbed my cell phone and showed him a picture of the positive pregnancy tests. and he said "wait...does this mean you're pregnant?!" and i said yes and he lit up. it was the cutest thing! it was so sweet. we had a little moment. he was truly happy. but then he said he didn't want to get too excited till we got passed the danger zone. and he's very adament that we don't tell anyone for now.
but i'm glad he knows so i have someone to talk to about this now! :) we're so happy.
and i just wanna thank all you guys for all your support and encouragment. it means a lot to me that you all care :) thank you.

Such a sweet reaction from your DH! Sometimes there's no need to plan something like that and the reaction you got was priceless!
Take good care of yourself, make sure you're taking your vits and I know it's easier said than done but try not to overstress!!

Yay! I had to take the progesterone suppositories vaginally for several weeks. It's kinda icky. You should wear panty liners cuz you will leak w/them. The sooner you can get on those the better. If your progesterone levels are low, you definitely need them asap. This early in the pregnancy, progesterone is key - it helps us build up the lining in the uterus and hold the implanted embryo better. It was challenging to find a pharmacy near me that could make those suppositories because it was a compound substance. Most pharmacies do not have the machine to mix compounds. Oh... and my insurance (which is very good btw) did not cover it. So be prepared for that possibly.
Good luck girlie! *sprinkling sticky dust*

Yahoo Meli! Sounds like things are getting very exciting fast!
I am on progesterone vaginal capsules currently. I actually don't mind them at all! They are little capsules like a regular pill that you would normally swallow, except you take them vaginally. I have very little discharge or anything from them. I just notice some white gritty spots in the toile****er after I pee.
Last time I was pregnant I was on a vaginal gel... that was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more icky. It leaked out and was just a huge mess and pain in the butt. So if your doctor offers you the capsules I say go for it!
Do you know what your progesterone level is? Or your first beta?
I'm so happy for you! Way to beat down that PCOS!
