twin pregnancy here and need nut help
Hi, I'm also expecting twins, but I'm not quite a year out from my VSG yet. My calorie goal was 3000 that just isn't happeneing. I still have really good restriction, but I am hungry all the time. The first 4 months were rough and I couldn't keep anything down and ended up losing about 20lbs. I've currently gained that back along with about 3 more lbs. The babies are happy and healthy and look great and are scheduled to arrive in 7 weeks! I'm excited for them to get here so I can work on getting down to my weight loss goal. Don't stress out too much about the weight gain. I have a feeling by the time I'm 2 weeks post-op from my c-section I should be well below my conception weight.
I'm not sure if Tiffykins checks in here anymore but she's about 2.5 years post op VSG and just had a baby. I believe that she gained 35lbs and has already lost about 25 of them and her baby is only a little over a month old. I hope she checks in to verify those numbers for me, I could be off, but I know she's done extreemly well!
So don't stress, keep your protein up, have healthy snacks often and grow some healthy babies. It'll all work itself out afterwards. And if you do gain more than you planned on, your VSG is there to help you get it back under control after. You've done it before you and you know to work it. Good luck and congratulations!
