So, the days and weeks have been slooooowly trickling by for me. 9 months is entirely too long (and I didn't even know I was pregnant until I was about 8 weeks along)! I've been frustrated with how slowly this process has been going, how long I had to wait to see or feel certain things, etc.
Well, last night, I sat down with my calendar to schedule some things out. I'm due March 27. I had a bit of a freak out moment when I realized that, between holidays, baby showers (I have 2 planned), baby classes (breastfeeding, "childbirth express," baby care, and maternity tour), family birthdays (both my nieces' birthdays fall in there), etc., I only have literally THREE weekends open for everything else that needs to be done still! That includes painting the nursery furniture, painting the nursery, decorating/finishing the nursery, preparing meals to freeze for the first few weeks with baby, shopping for anything I might not get at my showers, rearranging our living spaces (we are getting rid of a couch in the basement to move our office desks to the basement so we can put a baby area in the living room where the office desks are currently)...
Deep breath. Off to an OB checkup this morning!

Jill,
It'll fly with all that activity planned! It seemed to last forever with my first pregnancy, but with this one(the 3rd) time is flying faster than I can believe! Being busy with the kids is taking care of any 'down' time, that's for sure!
And, the prepare and freeze meals things is a brilliant thing to do! We did this with our first and it was wonderful... I think we had enough for almost 5 weeks of meals! Took a lot of stress off and we were able to enjoy every moment without worry.
Wish you a great Christmas!!!!

I got the cooking tip from some friends who have had babies recently. I think I will have my mother and sister over in early-mid March and do a whole weekend of meal prep! Luckily, we have a full-size freezer in our basement, so it's just a matter of making sure I have lots of freezer-friendly containers with lids (or even just big Ziploc freezer bags for some crock pot "dump" recipes!).
