Out of the Hospital

So, last Wednesday I went in for my follow up ultrasound to check the length of my cervix and it was starting to dilate.  So my afternoon plans were changed and I made a trip to L & D.  At about 6:30 Wednesday they were able to place a cerclage using 2 stitches and achieve about 2.5cm of closure.  I was placed on IV antibiotics for 72 hours and got out of the hospital on Saturday night.  Now I'm on very strick bed rest until my recheck appt. on Wednesday afternoon.  Hopefully at that time I will atleast be able to sit up in bed.  Right now the only time I can be verticle is to go to the bathroom and I do get to shower every other day.  Doc are hoping to get me to atleast 28 weeks and everything after that will be bonus.

I cannot imagine. Take care of yourself! Please keep us posted and we will be praying for you and your family.

I hope everything works out. That would drive me nuts to be on bedrest like that, I hope you have plenty to keep you occupied.

I'm glad you're home and resting.  Praying that your LO stays put for many more weeks!  LIke 36+ total weeks would be great.

Praying they caught the problem early enough and that the stitches are sufficient.  Be patient little one!

Guess this'd be a good time to catch up on entertaining things on youtube?  I'd recommend staying off the net searching for stories about your cervix issues...you'll make yourself batty and worry more than you already (rightfully so) are.

Thanks everyone.  Currently I'm almost 23 weeks.  Lying low and not doing anything right now.  Hubby put a small fridge in the bedroom for me and stocked it with everything I will need so at the most I need to take 10 steps.  He's the best.  My son is a great help too.  anytime I need anything he will run get it for me.  He's almost 7.

It must feel good to be at home!  I hope the check on Wednesday is a good one!  Also glad that you've got a supportive husband and son!  Saying prayers for you and your family!!
