My baby love is HERE!!! Story and pics!!
Hey ladies! Thanks for all the support that you have given my husband and I over the past nine months. And some of you over the past two years as I went through my weight loss journey and infertility issues. When we found out we were pregnant we were elated and I kept you guys updated every step of the way.
So I finally had my baby on early Thursday morning Dec 8th. I went in Tuesday night having contractions (after having my membranes swepted earlier that day)...lucky for me my OB was there, and my blood pressure was a little elevated so he came in and told us that he was gonna keep me and start the induction that night since I was already due, and he didnt want me to develop preeclampsia. My husband, mom, brother, and sis-in-law were there with me. I took three of the little pills that make labor start over a 12 hour period. Nothing was happening so he put me on pitocin. After three hours my contractions started getting pretty bad!! WOW!! I had to get up and pee and I swear if my husband wasnt behind me I would have fell to the ground!! The epidural guy came in and basiclly told me that its now or never since he was going home. I'm glad he did that because I was SO SCARED of the epidural, and I needed an ultimatium! I was shaking like a leaf, and he had to tell me to calm down. Well that process took about 5 minutes, and he was done! I had a weird cold feeling go down my back and about ten minutes later I was knocked out!! My nurse came in and checked me a couple of times, and the last time she came to wake me up she told me I was 10cm and 100% effaced and to call my family. They were there in no time! My brother lives an hour away and got there in 30 min. I was still drowsy when my doc came in and told me to start pushing. My husband stood on my right side, and my mom was in the back snapping pic after pic! Pushing wore me out but it only lasted about 5-10 minutes and my love came tumbling into the world! He pooped in my womb and it scared me but he is fine. I ripped a little, but I didnt even feel my doc stitch me up! My son has a pair of lungs on him! Hubby and I cried so hard together when we heard his first cry. I am more in love than I have ever been! Labor and delivery was very very easy for me! Today I feel good except a little back pain, and of course my vag hurts where I was stitched. My milk also finally came in today so Silas got a good dose tonight! YAY!!! My dad came in yesterday and he is in love! He doesnt show much emotion, but looking at his grandson brings all of that out of him!! My brother walks around saying 'Thats MY nephew!!' LOL I love my family's support!! I think thats everything!!

Glad to hear L&D went well for you! I remember that elation of meeting your little love for the very first time! My hubby and I cried so hard when our daughter was born, too! How much did Silas weigh, how long was he, etc? So glad everything is good and he is healthy!
