1st Ultrasound

Headed to see the Dr.  and I am pretty nervous cause I know they will  be doing an ultrasound cause I am supposedly high risk. 

I remember with my first they did one early on(around 5 1/2 weeks which is about what I am now) and they couldn't really see anything and it freaked me right out. 

Guess we worry even though we've been there done that. 

Ok ok! Update! Did you get an U/S?

It was what I thought.. couldn't see the heartbeat, but the dr. didn't think she would be able to cause of how early I am. 

She did see the yolk sac and said that is what would be expected at this point. Go back in a week and will hopefully see more. 

I know it wasn't planned but I am excited for you! Keeps us updated.

I don't know WHY they have us come in so early when there's really hardly anything to see!  I mean.. yes you saw the gestational sac... but it's too early to see anything else in there.  My 1st US was at 6w2d and we saw the heartbeat.  i'm so glad we didn't go any earlier than that cuz the worry is horrible.

But for you... you were prepared in that you went this early last time.  It's still unsettling though... I get it.  Big hugs and I'm sure ur new LO is growing just fine.  It's just very early still.

I know right!  It sure has been hard especially since I really don't "feel" pregnant.  Perhaps its because I am busy caring for a 7 month old and there is not time to "feel" anything...

I actually go tomorrow instead of Friday for another scan.  Hope its not too soon.

It absolutely might be too early! Why did it move up 3 days? U should pu**** back. The last thing u need this early on is another US w/out seeing the HB.

I know, I know.  Its me being anxious and not wanting to wait, but I guess it would be worse to not see a HB again.  The "not knowing" is driving me nuts.

Ok, Ok I'll see if I can change it back to Friday or maybe Thursday.   

WOMAN!  Friday at the earliest!!!  40 weeks is a long time.  You know that.  We have lots of waiting to do.  Just let it go.  You're stressing yourself out for nothing!  DO NOT get another US anytime before Friday... and really... Monday is better.  You're just going to put yourself through more unnecessary stress if you go this early.  STOP IT!!!

I called them and moved it back to Friday  I am starting the feel sick now and smells OMG.  I'll take that as a good sign.
