Just found out I'm pregnant with #4 a few days ago!!!
Well after just 2 months trying, I am pregnant with #4!!! I forgot though with my last pregancy (I was 14 months post op and dr ok'ed getting pg) what extra supplements I took with the prenatal. I think my doc had me taking extra folic acid and I had to get labs every 3 months to check on my vitamin levels. I called the dr's office today and asked the nurse to get back to me on what extra stuff to be taking. Still waiting to hear back....
What are you all taking during your pregnancy?
Here's what I am taking:
Prenatal
calcium citrate (3 times a day)
Iron
Folic acid 400 mcg
Vitamin C
B12

So exciting! Congratulations! It sounds like what you are taking is a good regimen. With the prenatal and the extra folic acid, you should be fine. But of course your doc will know best (0:
Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
oh how cool, pregnant with your first! Congrats!! Dr Cottam sounds familiar and I see that you are in Utah, isn't his office somewhere in Provo? I was going to go with them but ended up doing my rny with dr smith and am very happy with him and his office. How much weight did you lose? I was pretty nervous getting pg with #3 after losing 130 lbs- but I Only gained 27 lbs with that pg and then lost it in SIX days after I had him! That's typical for me, lose the baby weight quick even before I had the RNY- usually it's gone within a month of having the baby!
What did your doctor tell you to do nowt that you are pregnant, viatmin-wise? I know we need to get blood work at least 2 times during the pregnancy and not to do the GTT around 26 weeks or so (do the hemoglobin A1C blood test instead). And I think we have to take a separate folic acid pill, just in case for the absorption part. Congrats to you!!

Thank You!
Dr. Cottam is down in Salt Lake, He is a great doctor, I also thought about going to see Dr. Smith.
I am down 123 pound total adn am very nervous to start to see the scale creep back up. I too hope that it will be easier to lose after I have the baby.
My doctors office is real weird about vitamins. After surgery he just told me to take Flintstones and the NUT told me to just take 1 prenatal vitamin. I am just taking my bariatric vitamins and having my doctor just follow my labs pretty closley.
Anything else, Im really not quite sure what to do about it.
Good Luck to you, I am so excited for you. Babies are great!! I am so excited to have this babe.
