Eating after RNY while pregnant
What do you guys eat? Have you changed your eating habits? There are so many things that bother me or upset my pouch. Yesterday 1/2 a banana made me so sick I was in tears. Last night I ate 4-5 raspberries and was sick again. I can't eat bread, rice, pasta, or many potatoes. Heavy dense meats makes me sick, and I feel like I am eating the same boring stuff over and over.
With the morning sickness...and my laziness not wanting to get up in the mornings I haven't been eating breakfast, but have been drinking a shake. Lunch is usually something out but I have made a plan to bring my lunch all week to see if that helps with my intake and with my bloating. Today I had a mini corn tortilla with a slice of turkey salami and 2 thin slices of swiss cheese.
Dinner is usually something simple, pizza, shrimp, crackers and cheese.
I also try to snack throughout the day.
Any suggestions, tips, tricks, advise

Here's the thing... when we're still in our 1st trimester (and I think we've got the same due date - 7/8) pretty much anything can make us nauseous! We do need to add a little healthy carbs back into our diet so we don't go into ketosis (which is very bad for the baby.) I can still eat salads with chicken (which is what I'm eating right now.) And I can handle some carbs (ie: crackers, a bagel thin, etc.) Really at this point, try to get healthy foods in that wont make you nauseous. Good luck! I run into MS daily!

There is no actual proof that ketosis is bad for the baby. People seem to like to say this, but there is nothing to substantiate this claim. Lots of women who have severe morning sickness are unintentionally in ketosis throughout much of pregnancy, and their babies are fine. I was likely in ketosis through most of my first trimester (I didn't test for ketones, but I did not eat any grains, any starchy veggies, any junk food, etc.), and my baby is doing just fine.
Honestly, eat what you can tolerate. I ate mostly meats (I'm one of those that also always heated lunch meats before consuming to reduce the risk of listeriosis), cheeses, Greek yogurt, occasional eggs, and a very small amount of fruit. I would gladly have eaten some non-starchy veggies, but they completely turned me off, so I think I maybe ate 3 brussels sprouts and 1/2 cup of green beans in my entire first trimester :P I intentionally passed on all grains, starchy veggies, artificial sweeteners, and soy. We each just have to find what works for us, our bodies, and our personal goals.
