I'm so sorry, Carrie.  When I had my 1st MC, the horrific cramps and bleeding lasted upwards of 3 weeks.  It was pretty bad.  I MC'd at 7wks.  My OB adviced me to wait 1 full cycle before trying again.  Usually they say 2-3 cycles, but I was already 40 at the time and time was really of the essence in my case.  Be gentle with yourself now and I'd suggest taking an iron supplement as you might become enemic as you continue to shed the excess lining from your uterus.

My I was going through my 1st MC, my DW said something to me that gave me such comfort and I share it with you in the hopes that you too can find some sort of comfort in this as you move through this difficult process.  She said, "honey, that was not our child. If it were our child, then you would still be pregnant."

Don't lose faith and hope that your child is still on its way to you and your DH.  I didn't and now I'm carrying my miracle child.
Our little miracle baby boy is on his way!

I m so so sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic pregnancy last November (year ago), and the next month, was pregnant and miscarried. It was very heart wrenching. I found out today that I am pregnant. I would say try whenever you are ready. I do not regret either of the babies I lost. I know they are in heaven and perfect now. God bless you.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well. I have had six early miscarriages (at between 6.5 to 8 weeks) and one baby girl lost at 23 weeks. With an earlier miscarriage you do not have to wait 2-3 cycles before trying again. As long as you are emotionally ready you can begin again your next cycle. I am now 24.5 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I had some autoimmune issues that needed to be corrected. Just remember - the darkest hour is just before dawn!

All the best to you. Be gentle with yourself and please know you can do this!
