Anyone else have this happen and still have a healthy pregnancy? My Ob isn't worried per my OB nuse who called me with th eresults but he does want me to come in for a third Hcg lab draw on Friday morning. My 2nd Hcg was drawn this a.m. and she called me with the results around 4 p.m. My progesterone went from 20 to 21 so she says that's good and to not woor about my Hcg not doubling. Kind of hard not to though. I'm scared now. Please pray for me Friday. I was nervous about getting pregnant so soon after having my daughter, but now all I want is to have my baby. Please leave hopeful comments.

Thanks for the comforting words! I had my daughter January 8th 2011. We tried for 10 years to get pregnant. We even adopted our son because we were told that we would only conceive with possible help through IVF. After years of wanting a newborn of my own I realized that it wasn't all about getting pregnant and having the newborn, it was becoming a Mommy. Adoption made me a Mommy when I couldn't make myself one. We were put on awaiting list and told it would take up to 2 years to adopt a toddler. We were called one month later for a 3 week old baby boy.
I am so sorry about the loss of your baby girls. I to know how it feels to loose a baby. I lost my baby boy at 26 weeks gestation. I was able to hold him while he passed. You never forget, but time does help some. That and having supportive people in your life. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well with your pregnancy and I pray all stays healthy for you and your little miracle.

RNY on 02/12/09 with
Everything that I've read says it should double in 2-3 days, so I wouldn't worry too much ( I know it's impossible to not worry!)  I clearly remember when I was pregnant that my numbers didn't double after a trip to the er prompted an hcg comparison two days apart, needless to say I freaked out (although they went up at least 60%)  the nurse saw how upset I was and said she didn't understand why the dr made me come in at 2 days rather then 3. Everything turned out just fine for me.
Im sure it will for you too :)

Teresa,
Great news!!! Your numbers increased!  I went throught the same exact thing when i got pregnant.  My numbers werent as high as yours AND my progesterone was low.  But of course when you get the call from the nurse youre going to worry.  I was really upset.  I had just miscarried a few months before.  So i immediately thought i was going to miscarry again.  I was more than upset.  I was just about devastated.  I kept reading that our numbers are supposed to double every 48 to 72 hours.  We have our blood drawn 48 hours apart.  But many times they dont double until 72 hours.  I repeated my hcg levels about 4 more times after the initial results.  My levels always increased.  And finally, my numbers started to double.  I'm now 18 1/2 weeks pregnant.  So please try not to panic and think the worst like i did.  It will do nothing but add more stress which can only cause more harm than good.  Really, be positive.  Your numbers are increased by 60%.  Thats good news!!

Good luck to you!!
Kelly
