Heard the heartbeat!!!

I am 6 weeks pregnant....my first ultrasound was last Monday and they couldn't hear/see the heartbeat so it has been a very stressful tense 7 days.  But today they did a repeat ultrasound and the heartbeat is both visible and audible.  I heard it and tears automatically came to my eyes.  It is such a miracle.  While it is still this tiny little thing in my belly just knowing that its heart is forming and has began to beat is such a blessing.
When I woke up this morning I had my doubts about being a mom....again (2nd child) unmarried, and only almost 12 months after RNY.  But all those feelings were washed away when I heard that heartbeat.  

That is sooooooo AWESOME!!!  I can't wait to know that my bean is doing ok and definately can't wait to hear the heartbeat.  Congratulations

im prego with my first baby when i first heard the heart beat tears also came to my eyes and even tho my situatiuon( fiance in jail might not be out before baby) i felt at peace and calm knowing gods on my side and were going to be all right,

Catherine, I completely understand and feel for you in your situation.  The father of my new baby spent 2 years in prison.  He was just released in January 2011.  It is so hard dealing with the distance and the alone feeling.  But we are super strong and will pull through!!!

thank you ma i appreciate that yes i hate the alone feeling all he does is worry about me and the baby hopefully he gets parole in may but if not it might not be until nov 12. we have to hold it together and wait. i write him every other day, send him us pic every time i get one i try to see him once a week and when i get my belly bump ill send himpic. its sooo hard but im in love with him and we promised each other nothing would change that. this is our first child he has no kids yet neither do i so were holding on as u know its just hard but i believe with god on our side and my mom rip well manage, the good thing is that his mom and sisters are real supportive they call at least once week and check up on me so thats nice. i go for 3 month check up 22nd for us so im praying everything goes smoothly..

Congratulations on hearing the heart beat!  I cry every time I hear it and I've had lots of ultrasounds now since I had some persistent bleeding.

Soooo happy for you that you got to hear the HB!!!  Isn't that the best most reassuring sound in the world!!  Take good care and I hope things continue to go along great!!!
