My surgical team told me that I shouldn't get pregnant for two years after surgery, but they didn't really give me any reason why, only that early on that I wouldn't be consuming enough to have a healthy baby.
But are their any other reasons why I shouldn't get pregnant for two years?  Two years seems like an awfully long time. I am starting to get baby fever already. lol

That's about right. At that time you can take in more food for yourself that's makes for a healthy pregnancy also by then it also shows how well your vitamins have worked for you and also by two year most people have hit their goal weight.I was given an OK at 19 months and took four months to get pregnant so i hit my two year mark.

May my Angles rest in peace.....

Which surgery did you have? That can make a difference. And 2 years is a general guideline. It all depends on you being a stable weight and otherwise healthy (vits, intake, ect.) Many many people have healthy pregnancies at the 1 year mark or so but no one wants to promote that because not everyone is at a safe point in their WLS journey at 1 year. Also age is a factor because if you are older fertility dr's don't suggest you waiting too long.

So the point of my rambling is 2 years is a guideline but we are not all able to fit into cookie cutter rules.
