16 wks, previa & cerclage

Hi Everyone,
So I'm 16 weeks and I have complete placenta previa. At my last ultrasound they noticed a shortening of my cervix and a subchorionic bleed. I'm now on bed rest and have to go in for another ultrasound on Monday. If the blood clots from the bleed are reabsorbed then they will do a rescue cerclage on Tuesday. My OB is concerned because I have dropped 10 pounds in 10 weeks. I thought that wasn't to bad because I was loosing a lot faster. I have increased my food intake and the baby weighed 5 oz. at 15 weeks and 5days. Does anyone have any experience with any of these issues?

With my last pregnancy I had a cerclage put in at 19 weeks well almost 20 my cervix was almost already open all the way so its a good thing they are checking it now and finding it.If dr says bed rest best to do is listen very important.I cant give you the out come from my cerclage because I had other issues that caused me to go into premature labor but I can tell you it saved one of my friends babys life.
Monday I will be 17 weeks and as well have placenta previa and i was told no sex or anything up there which we have already been doing because of my premature labor from last time.My Doctor says not to worry now and they will check me at 20 weeks and go from there most clear up by then  to 28 weeks when baby grows and uterus moves up.For you they need it to move to get the cerclage in I dont think they can tell it moves.Your baby sounds like weight is just fine on Wed mine was 6 oz at 16 weeks and dr said it was measuring a little bigger but was a good thing.
