Thanks for the support Jennifer.  I did talk to DH about losing some weight and upping the vitamins. This morning I sent him to work with Chanel's vitamin regimen and told him to take them throughout the day and not all at once so he won't get nauseous.

I hope these tips help you with ttc. My hubby and I are ttc and he doesn't take any vitamins, drinks a lot of caffiene and wears briefs. I don't know what his sperm count is but I will make sure he does atleast reducing caffiene and take vitamins.  I don't think i can get him to change from the briefs

Yes ma'am my hubby took all of those things with success after 3 months!  And this is AFTER the docs said he was infertile....he also did the boxers, and no hot hot showers, no hot tubs, and every blue moon I would massage his 'guys'....they say that helps a lot too so I did it! LOL

Good luck girl! I know its hard, but keep your head up!   :)

So glad that you responded Chanel. I knew that your DH didn't have good number either so I started my DH on your regime today.  I'm hoping that his next SA there is some imporvement.

I would certainly add that in addition to all the supplements he's taking, that you consider getting a copy of Dr. Sami's book "Making Babies: A 3 month guide to conceiving" (or something like that) It's on Kindle and Amazon sells it or you can go to your local bookstore, library and get a copy. It has really good advice and even has a test in it to help both of you become your fertility best.
The just one sperm notion is kind of misunderstood, a man needs atleast 2-5 million sperm to have even a reasonable chance at impregnating a woman. Hundreds of thousands need to make it to the cervix and up the right fallopian tube, then several hundred to break the penumbra of the egg. Having a baby is a lot harder than people think.

When my hubby and I were doing IUI's a few years back, his count went up and down and up again. I was obese and he was normal weight. Now he runs a lot more than he did before, and his sperm count has almost tripled since he last had a SA. The Docs say that even if it went down by half he would still have plenty to go around. I'm obviously the one with the issue. He drinks coffee like it's water, drinks a few times a week (beer or a mixed drink) but he's really healthy so he can get away with it. He never takes multivitamins or supplements but I feed him well. Hope that helps!!

Hi

My hubbys little guys were bad. I mean really bad that the RE we saw couldn't believe that we had children together & asked for him to do the SA 2 more times to make sure they were 100% right. Along with the vitamins, boxers, etc..... I had him eat nuts & seeds. Pumpkin seed, pinenuts and a few others, He would take a handful every afternoon. Seeds and nuts have vitamins in them naturally and are great for helping boost his little guys numbers.

Best wishes
