I can't wait until I'm allowed to start trying! And a few questions..
I really really can't wait to start trying. I am so excited to have a baby. I have been married a year to the most wonderful man. He is going to be such a good father. I had my RNY surgery on March 15th and I am counting down the days until I can start trying. When I was heavier I thought I might never be at a healthy weight to conceive. I am not completely at goal yet but I am close and I am at a healthy weight to have a baby! My doctor said I have to wait until 18 months out. That is fine for me because we need to pay off our credit card bills and save up a little more money. I was out of work for five months from complications from the surgery and that really hurt us! But I am doing so much better now and I am just seeing babies everywhere.
I did have a question though. I have PCOS. I haven't gotten it checked out since my surgery though. I do know it is harder to conceive when you have that. Does anyone have experience getting pregnant after WLS with PCOS? The pcos board is always really dead. Did you have to do anything special to get pregnant??

I never had PCOS but do know that MANY women who have weight loss surgery have overcome PCOS and have gotten pregnant easily! It's important to use birth control even if you think you can't get pregnant until your for sure ready to have a baby. MANY women have gotten pregnant WAY before they planned because they thought they couldn't get pregnant or thier birth control failed. Keep in mind, our bodies don't absorb the pill completely and a 2nd form of birth control should be used. I didn't remember this and took the pill...but luckily didn't get pregnant until I went off the pill.
