TTC list for 10/24/11
Hi TTC ladies!
Sorry I'm late getting this post up.... Grad school and working full time are kicking my butt. I had a full on mental breakdown on Sunday.... cried for a few hours. Then felt better. I just finished a round of clomid (100 mg's this cycle) and I think that might have had something to do with it. Anyway, I should be ovulating by the end of the week. I'm really really hoping this is it! But we are headed to a Reproductive Specialist on 11/1. I think the next step will be clomid with IUI... but we shall see.
I'm glad its the week before Halloween. I've been enjoying the season and keeping busy. I totally agree with you Meli - it might be a great way to relax and get knocked up over the holidays!
How are you all doing? Let me know if you would like to be added, edited, or deleted!
-Nikki

Hi Nikki,
I hope things go well for you this round!
As for me, my tww did not go as planned. I recieved a positive, and then the following day AF came two days early. Not to sure what to think about it, just going to wait for a couple days and see how I feel.
The pain is worse than a regular AF visit, and constant - whereas normally its only day 3 it is painful.
I am wondering if maybe, it tried to implant and failed.... and AF came along :(
I am hoping for good things, in 11 days is my wedding so I am trying to focus on it and not be so sad.
Cheers,
Carrie

Sorry Carrie. It does sound like you tried to implant but it didn't hold. That happened on one of my clomid months. AF can be heavy and more painful than usual. That's a form of a MC. I'm sorry! But hey... your wedding is in 11 days! How exciting! Just focus on your special day. Planning a wedding can be very stressful. I know... we got married 6 months ago and we were TTC during that time too with no success. My suggestion is to take this month off and enjoy your wedding and your honeymoon. Make your memories for a lifetime now. Your LO will come along soon enough.
Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot!
Awwww, I am sorry to hear that you had to go through this as well. It is so painful and saddening.
On the plus, the wedding is coming soon..so soon!!!
I am going to take a break, and let it be. If it happens while we are on break it happens..UNLESS that is a bad thing - meaning unhealthy.
If it is okay, I just happen to be ovulating on our honeymoon..exactually over our honeymoon
I am wishing lots of baby dust for you and your family!
Cheers,
Care

Hey Nikki... crying bouts are normal on clomid. Wait until you go on 150mg/day! OY!!! Oh... and then IVF meds are like clomid times 100! It is absolutely wild what IVF meds do to a woman. Hopefully you won't need to go that far, but the RE might opt for that given that you only have 1 tube left. I'm sure that ovarie is still producing eggs, but with no tube those eggs cannot be utilized unless retrieved for IVF.
Good luck to you and to everyone else TTC (including myself.)

According to my OB, my remaining tube will work up to 98% of 2 working tubes. She said it will catch most of the eggs even from my right ovary because there is not another tube in there competing for the egg. I'm not so sure I believe it, but she insists. I'll be curious to see what the specialist thinks.
Did a digital test this morning before the RE appoinment and got a BFN- so off we went...
Well we are full steam ahead after AF shows up this cycle (which should be this weekend). We met with the doctor, talk about a lot (my head is still spinning), pee'd in a cup- both of us, I had an internal ultrasound- she said everything looked good. Then we both went to have labs drawn- I had 16 vials and DH had only 14!! And yes we had to pee in a cup, again! I have to call on the first day of AF to set up time for FSH and then will start Clomid on day 5-9 then have an ultrasound, followed up by a HSG and then a Hysterscopy with biopsy. DH has to do a SA and go to see a urologist, since he does have an ED problem. My insurance will cover 1 month of treatments, but after that we are self-pay- so I really don't know what we are going to do. I really don't want to have to dive into our saving for this but if we have to we have to. I hope this first month will jump start something!!
