My birth story! (Finally) Pic included
I went for my induction Tuesday night at 6pm. I had to get my cervix ripened and the contractions started at 3:15am in my back. The induction started at 4:30am on Oct. 19th and was slow from the jump. I only got to 4cm by the time I got my epidural at 12pm, and they only gave it to me since my contractions were horrible. Then, the anesthesiologist forgot I was allergic to fentanyl and didn't bring a different pain med. That epidural only lasted 2 hours and my contractions never went away. The doctor came back and put a new med in my epidural and I couldn't move my legs at all! No pain or anything. I absolutely loved it! By 4pm I had only dilated to 6cms and the nurses were not happy with my contraction pattern. They were not very strong and they would go for 3 minutes, then none at all for 5 minutes. My doctor came in at 4:45 to call a c-section since I had been in labor for 12 hours and was not progressing. She did check my cervix one more time before calling for a surgery room and I was completely dilated and complete! So, I went from c-section to vaginal birth in 2.5 seconds!
I started pushing and my baby kept coming down the canal and going back up. The doctor observed this and said it would probably be another hour or so of pushing before any progress would be made and she left. The nurses kept having me push for another 10 minutes and all the sudden they said "STOP"! and ran of the room. I then heard an overhead page to my room for my doctor. The nurse came back and said "her head is right at the end of the canal. Don't push or she will fall out!" The doctor ran in and quickly gowned up. My baby was sliding of the canal and the doctor caught her in time!
I'm pleased to annouce the arrival of Sabrina Logan! She weighed 6lbs 3oz (even though I was told a week prior she weighed 7lbs 11oz) and 21 inches long. I pushed her out in 45 minutes...not bad for my 1st baby! Sorry the pic is so big! This is Sabrina in her coming home outfit. I'm still waiting on her to brown up a little bit.

Congratulations!! She's gorgeous!! It's amazing how babies have their own plan, lol
I'm SO glad you were able to have her without C Section! Looks like she likes keeping everyone on their toes! Hope you and baby are doing well!!
