Body is Gearing Up!

So, tomorrow I'm 37 weeks and this past week my body has been VERY busy.  My usual braxton hicks are starting to get really painful and sometimes they'll get really regular for an hour or so.  I've had a lot of cramping even when I'm not contracting.  I've lost some good size pieces of my mucous plug (I know, gross), and at times the pelvic pressure is really intense.  Now, having had a baby born at 41 weeks, I refuse to read much into anything or get my hopes up as I know this could easily go on for another several weeks.  However, I'll be interested to see if the "fingertip" of dilation from last week has changed at all when I go to the doctor's tomorrow.  At least I know the end is near.  I can't wait to find out what we're having!!!

OHHHH, that all sounds promising! I can't wait to hear what your body has done tomorrow. I was happily surprised that I was at a tight 2, 60% effaced and baby's head was engaged in my pelvis (but still high). Yesterday I was having lots of small contractions and was hoping they would turn into something more...but they didn't. We are sooo close to the finish line!

I've got my fingers crossed for you ! ! !  I haven't had any major changes. I get some tightness, crampy feelings when I'm out walking too much, but other than that, nothing. It's okay since I have to keep her in there until the 1st, but you having all these stuff happening, and Hockeybabe being so close, and then one of my close friends in Texas delivered today (her due date was the 2nd), it's all making me want to just go ahead and go now LOL.

I can so relate to what your saying.  A couple of weeks ago, there was 2 or 3 girls on here that gave birth to their babies and it made me hope mine would come soon......but now I just have to wait it out..

I'm really not in any particular hurry, I just hate all the wondering "is this it"... drives me nuts.  I keep telling my husband that when it is labor I just want my water to break in some dramatic fashion like they do on TV so that there is no guessing!

I wasn't really in a hurry either....but now that I'm only 5 days until my due date, I'm very anxious and ready for "something" to happen.....LOL.  I really don't want to go past my due date because I know what a miserable feeling that is!  With my 1st 2 pregnancies my water broke, so there was no question the baby was coming!  With my last born son, the contractions started during the middle of the night and when I couldn't fall asleep through them and felt them keep coming, I knew it was time to go to the hospital!  So either way, I just want "something" to start happening and soon!......Hopefully by Sunday evening!
