new to this thread!

I'll be 27 years old in about 2 weeks, and I am about 11 months out from my single-incision VSG. My hubby and I desided to get healthy first, then focus on having the family we want. My VSG was 11/2010 and his VSG was 4/2011. I got the 'all clear' from my bari-surgeon a few weeks ago. I finish the last pill in the pack tomorrow! I am soooo ready to get preggers! My 2 sister-in-laws who were far, far from ready to even think about a baby are going to be mommies! One is 37wks and 1.5 cm dialated..... the other is about 8 weeks. It was VERY hard to deal with this but my hubby has stood by my side and helped me emotionally. Any tips, advice or suggestions are welcomed! This site helped me sooo much the first few months of my surgery and I check in here every so often..... will be doing more checking since we are TTC soon!

Welcome, I am new too.

I wish you all the best in this adventure, I am currently on my two week wait. It is killing me, I hate the wait. I am the same age as you, and this will be my first as well. My spouse and I decided to do the same thing, get me healthy and then its baby making time!

I would personally get my bloodwork done, see where your stats sit. I would start with my prenatal and folic acid.


The fertilityfriend website, it is pretty good source for us newbies like me. It helped me a lot as I believe that I am pregnaut.  I am feeling alot of the symptons - just hoping it is not my mind playing games.

thanks! i have been taking a prenatal for about 2 weeks now. i just finished my last pack of bc pills, and i am going to start charting my bbt tomorrow morning. i am very nervous as my mother had numerous miscarriages before having me. my hubby and i did not use any protection or bc for almost 8 months prior to surgery and i didnt get pregnant.... that terrifies me!! but i have been doing alot of reading and iam trying to stay positive.
