I'm Ready!
Ok, so I officially feel "ready" for the baby to come! Yesterday we did our annual apple picking followed today by making eight apple pies, six of which are now tucked safely away in my mom's freezer (my contribution for every holiday dinner over the next several months). I've finished my meal stockpile in my own freezer for after the baby is born, and I'm proud to say that I have over three weeks worth of family dinners ready to heat in disposable aluminum pans. The baby clothes are washed and ready to go, the nursery is all set, and we even tackled the hurtle of buying a new "family friendly" car this weekend. I officially feel like I have nothing left to do but wait. I must say, with just over four weeks til my due date, I'm quite proud of myself!! Toot toot! (That is the sound of my own horn, lol).
Toot away chickee ! ! !
I'm right there with you. All I have left to do is actually order her bedding, and get her crib mattress in the crib. Her bag is packed, the car seat base is heading to the vehicle tomorrow morning to make sure I know how the heck to get it in there, and all her clothes are washed in the dresser, the side changing table is loaded with diapers, wipes, butt paste, clothes, all the little crap I had forgotten or wasn't aware was "needed" when I had my son 13 years ago.
I have to pack my own bag, but since I'm so horrible, I'll probably wait until the last minute to pack my own bag LOL.
I'm so over waiting. These next 3 weeks is going to drive me insane. I admittedly will not cook any meals ahead of time. My mom is coming for a week, my friends are all pooling together to prepare meals, and with my couponing and obsessive freezer and pantry stocking that occurred a couple weeks ago, I have zero room in my chest freezer or fridge to store any prepared meals.

I'm more than ready too! The ONLY thing I have left to do is bring our changing table from my sons room and put in our room and stock it with diapers and wipes (which I've already purchased). Everything is washed and put away, the carseat is in the car ready to go and our/my bag is packed as far as I can pack it at this time! I'm like USAF Wife in that I have NO room in my freezer or pantry to stock up on pre-made stuff as I coupon and my husband just got over 100lbs of meat free from work! I'm not to worried about it though, I have church members that will be supplying 3-4 meals a week for 3 weeks and hubby and I can handle the rest (or pick up things....LOL). I had a day last week where I was "nesting" and got some of these last minute things done! It's now a waiting game for my lil man to make his appearance! Good luck to you! I can't wait to hear your birth story!
