Cravings
Hi
I have never had a sweet tooth a piece of cake or lollie here and there was good enough for me. Now salty foods I would die for deep fried chicken by the bucket load, now that was my heaven.
I ate salty foods while pregnant but now that I'm breastfeeding I'm craving sweet things really really sweet things.
Toffee apples, maple syrup, fairy floss etc..... all these things seem to be straight sugar.
Anyone else have this? I guessing I'm doing it for energy. I really hope it goes away and fast as I have gained back some weight.
Best wishes
Crystal

I'm right there with you always craving savory, salty, spicy foods. Early in the pregnancy that is all I wanted, and that was easy to accommodate. For the last 2 months, all I've wanted is sweet, and ooey gooey stuff. I would have a random craving for my favorite red velvet cake and cream cheese icing, but for the most part, my cravings were Thai or Mexican food and Funyuns. Once I get 2-3 bites in, I'm hating life. Not because of a bad reaction, or gross feeling after eating sweets. It just seems those foods don't taste as good as my body would like them to taste.
