Update!!

Had another biophysical profile today and baby scored another 8 out of 8, which means the pain meds are not hindering her activity.  The pain managment has been going really well and I've haven't lost any more weight.  My OB said today he will schedule my induction as soon as I dialate to 1cm.  I was hoping I had, but my cervix is still sealed shut!  I go back next week for a growth scan and another cervical check, so my fingers are crossed!  The BH contractions have been the worst, happening only at night so I can't sleep.

My husband is getting really nervous about the baby now, especially since there was an infant kidnapping about 10 minutes from my house.  It's so sad to see the story on the news and I hope they find her safe and sound, but my husband is stressing me out.  He is now installing chimes on the windows of our nursery and other security devices to make entering the nursery harder from the outside.  I'm worried because if there is a fire, we only have one door out of our apartment and may need to exit out those windows.

This is it for now.  My OB told me to walk as much as possible to try to get the baby to drop again (she dropped but then climbed her way back up) and my mom walked me for 5 hours today.  I'm pooped and medicated!

Wow, how scary about the baby kidnapping! I hope at your next check-up that you will be dialted....but I hope even more that you will go into labor naturally and not have to be induced. It's said being induced causes harder and longer labors and leads to more c-sections. Last week when my midwife checked me, I hadn't dialated either and the baby was very high up. In some ways I want him to come NOW and other ways, I think I'm fine to hold out a little bit longer!

I would LOVE to go into natural labor, but I understand why they want to induce.  They want to limit the amount of time the baby is exposed to pain meds and to allow me to get my obstruction fixed.  I know the risks and the possible outcome with a c-section, but all I really want is for her to get her and be healthy.  It seems she doesn't want to come out either, especially since she keeps dropping and climbing back up!  We may have to send her some eviction papers! LOL

Glad things are on track!  Getting the 8 of 8 on the BPP must feel really good and reassuring!   Hope some dilation starts soon!!!
