Please welcome Kellen Nicholas. He was born on 9/9/2011 and is just perfect. He was 7 lbs, 1 oz and 18.5 inches long and was born via scheduled c-section.
I had the DS and really had no issues with this pregnancy other than a bout of constipation/fissure about midway through. My labs stayed pretty steady - some of the dropped but nothing dramatic and nothing that won't come up with a little supplementing. I was 14 months out when I found out I was pregnant. My starting weight was 175. My highest pregnancy weight was 184 and I was around 168 when I delivered. I'm just over three weeks post partum and I'm down to 156.
I had to drop by my surgeon's office the other day to pick up some vites and saw him in the hall. Of course he sees so many patients he didn't know who I was but I stopped him anyway and introduced him to my sweet boy. I don't think he realizes that without his skills and this surgery, I wouldn't have him in my life. I wanted to hug the man but also didn't want security called. LOL Love Dr. Smith!
I am breast feeding with no complications (other than developing nipples of steel...) and have been really blessed so far with a very easy baby. :)
