spoiled breastmilk?

Good morning everyone,

Last night our fridge door got left slightly open overnight (about 10 hours). 

Do you think I should throw away my bottles of pumped breast milk?  They feel cool, but not cold.  Someone told me to smell and taste it, but how do you know by doing that?  I've never smelled or tasted it before so I would have nothing to compare it to. 

I'm so mad!!!!

From what I read about traveling with milk on ice packs they are considered still good if they are not room temp and still feel cool. But I would go with your gut on this one. Are you pumping more than your little guy needs do you can easily replace everything? If so I would just throw it all out and start over.

I am sorry that happened! I know it sucks when you feel you are wasting any breast milk.

If the milk is bad it will smell sour. Normaly there is no smell at all. Like the previous poster stated I think if it was still cold it should be ok but definately go with your gut feeling.

I took a chance and have been feeding him the milk.  None of them smelled sour, actually no smell at all like pp said.
