Stand on your head??  Just kidding!

As far as the external version goes with the epidural... it's really not that bad!  I haven't had one myself, but I think it's good that they're using epidurals know because I know lots of people who had one without and it is wicked uncomfortable.

As for the epidural itself... have no fear!  It's really NOT bad....  I think it's more the 'idea' of what they're doing that's hard to take... there's virtually no pain.  I've had 2 and no trouble with either and both were at 325 plus pounds which made it that much more of a challenge for the anesthesiologist... but, we got it done and no tears were shed... and I'm a big baby!

So, if baby has to be turned, you can do it... in the meantime, as your midwife for exercises to encourage baby to turn, she may have some good ideas.

Hope he turns for you!!!!  Keeping you in my prayers!!!

Check out Spinningbabies.com. It worked for me. It's a lot of yoga-type poses and visualizing the baby turning.

My big man was breech at 38 weeks but finally turned at 40 wks and was born on his due date, naturally without intervention.
