Well... we've started the IVF process officially last thurs when we wrote the fertility clinic a check for a few thousand $'s.  And then the daily shots started this monday.  Every night I give myself a shot.  In a couple weeks, it turns into 3 different shots daily.   and then gets more crazy.  it's really not too bad.  the shots i'm taking now are just sub-q's with short small needles (just into the fatty skin.)  Which is no problem with all the extra skin i have hanging down... hello panni!  The real fun begins when Wifey gives me 2-6 wks worth of intramuscular (IM) shots with a much bigger needle in the muscles above my butt by the hips.  We went to an injection training class last week and we practiced using saline.  Wifey gave me an IM shot in the back side... ouchie!  Not looking forward to that.

Bottom line... it's just what we get to do to help welcome in our child into our lives.

Hope y'all are having a great friday.

We are close in age- I'll be 40 in November - sshhhh don't tell anyone, LOL!

Yes, were are heading to the perinatologist (aka high risk OB) on Tuesday. When we met with him last year he was pretty optimistic that he could help us get PG- I'm thinking with the help of Clomid at first. I can PG test this weekend, either way, positive or negative results, we are going to that appointment.

Yeah... i just turned 41 in Aug.  Good luck this weekend w/ur stick.  Clomid is a barrel of fun... I got highly emotional on that stuff... most women do.  I was crying at all sorts of stupid stuff.  Oh... and I bit a couple people's heads off and dropped 2 people hard from my FB. LOL... just warn your husband!  LOL  When we went to the injection training last week, the nurse running it told us that we should expect me to get very emotional on the 1st medication that I take for the 1st 3 weeks.  We were like... OH NO!  Worse than clomid?  She said no... clomid is typically the worst emotionally. OK... so you are adequately warned about the emo fun with clomid. LOL
