Not a brag, but for those worried about WL after baby...
3 weeks, 4 days after delivery, I hit 145.4. Still above my ideal weight by a lot, still above normal, but the day I got my BFP (12/24/10) I was 147 and Boxing day I was 145.4. So I have hit my pre-pg weight. I am breastfeeding so that no doubt helped. But I had to post this to reassure the ladies worried about weight gain - I was too, I think it's natural.
You can and will get down to your pre-pregnancy weight after a baby. Can't promise that number will LOOK the same though :)
ETA: about an hour or 2 before my water broke (not 1st thing in the morning though) I saw a high weight of 175.6 I think it was, so 30 lbs gained. He's also my 1st, if that makes a difference.
Glad I could help - I was so worried I'd gain 100 lbs or not be able to lose any weight, I knew I couldn't be the only one who would have enjoyed a post like this. Happy to see others chiming in. I too will work on eating better after I wean but I still walk a bit for exercise.

I DID Make It - 135.4 8-1-10! Now working on post baby weight loss. (All WL post-op - preop got up to 220 from quitting smoking & last supper syndrome.) 5'2"
I was 218lbs the day I got my BFP. 231lbs the day I delivered my son and 215lbs 3 days later when I was discharged from the hospital.
Now I'm ~175. I'm also breastfeeding and eat ~2000 calories a day to maintain a decent milk supply.
Loosing the weight post-baby was not an issue for me either. Once I finish BFing, I intend to get more serious about weight loss.

Ok....so what am I doing wrong????
I'm 7 weeks pp and I've lost only 10 of my 37 pounds....
Prepreg 154
Highest preg wt 191
Current 181
Im still partially breastfeeding (pumping) about 3-4 feeds a day and I'm not eating very much....when the baby naps I run around the house doing chores but no real formal exercise...
The ob says that sometimes the body holds onto fat stores while breastfeeding...could that be it?

I'm by no means an expert, on anything - I have seen quite a few women complain about holding on to some weight until they wean. KMFX for ya that you're one of those "lucky" ones!

I was 150 pre pregnancy, 201 when I had my son 3 months ago, and now I weigh 173...I'm breastfeeding too and my weight is slowly coming off and I'm going to start back walking and jogging next week to see if I can get some more weight off, but I'm pleased with the weight loss so far too..BF definitely helps!
