15 month update

Harmony is 15 months old and we had her well check today. She is weighing in at a whopping 19 lbs 3 oz (6th percentile for weight) and 30 inches long. They would like to see her gain a little weight but they said in the same breath that they aren't too concerned about it because she's gaining at each visit. She's talking more now and saying, Hi to everyone she sees. She's still my screamer and likes to let out loud shrieks when we're out in quiet places. I think she's just frustrated that she can't communicate what she's feeling and so she screams. I'm hoping. . My oldest, Ruby, just started Kindergarten and is giving the teachers a run for their money. But she likes school so that's good.
I still am in shock and a little disbelief about being pregnant. But I think once I see my first ultrasound it will seem more real.
Any one have any advice or experience about having two in diapers? Would it be a good idea to try to potty train Harmony before the new baby comes? Is that too early? My mom was pushing for me to do that, but I've never actually known anyone who potty trained their child before 2. I wasn't even going to start until she was about 2.

She is a little one, but they are right, as long as she is gaining each time.

As far as the potty training, good luck!  My 2 little ones are 25 months apart--and my daughter was nowhere close to being ready to being potty trained.  We just had to "suck it up" and have 2 in diapers!  The good news is, once my daughter got throught the "newness" of having baby brother in the household, then we started working on potty training by the time she was 2 1/2 -3.  It really depends on the kid.  Watch her for signs of readiness.  Who knows....maybe she will be ready.

As far as me, I know the 1st couple of months-were kind of crazy having the 2 in diapers, and nap schedules etc... but after that things were much calmer.

Good luck!

Your kids have GREAT names!  Love them!

As for 2 in diapers.... my kids are 23 months apart and I had 2 in diapers for about 5 months... it's not so bad, really.  Maybe get a potty out, start reading about it and see if she has interest.  If she doesn't, leave it alone.  Worst thing to do is try to push potty training (although our mothers generation are often of a very different opinion here!)

My daughter was almost potty trained and as soon as my son was born, right back into diapers!  That's really common, I know, but frustarting.

Harmony will tell you when she's is ready!

Good luck with pregnancy number 3!!!

Best wishes!!
