Hi again...
Hi Ladies,
It's been a couple months since I came around here and I wanted to catch you up on what's going on with us. We did our last AI cycle with Clomid a couple months ago and BFN (total of 5 cycles after the MC in Nov.) Now we're stepping up the aggressive ladder and we're starting IVF later this week. Gratefully, my insurance is pretty damn good and I have enough coverage to pay for up to 2 IVF cycles (if we need both.) Fert docs say that everything looks really good for me except of course the age of my eggs (I'm now 41.) So off to IVF-land we go. Docs said I have btwn a 15-20% chance of a viable pregnancy with IVF. UGH! I would have thought my chances would have been a lot higher. I mean they're implanting 5 fertilized eggs in me. But again with the age of my eggs, I only have up to 20% chance of 1 viable baby. So we'll see....
If we don't get pg within 2 IVF cycles then we are going to move into adoption.
I've been doing a LOT of prayer and am now seeing a therapist who specializes in WLS patients (she herself had RNY 10 yrs ago.) I found myself doing a bit of emo-eating over the past few months because this TTC journey is hard as H-E- double hockey sticks! But I've pretty much got that under control again.
I definitely want to carry our child and even moreso, I definitely want to be a mother. So we're focusing on welcoming in our child however he/she comes into our lives (vs. TTC.)
Hope all is well with all of you!

THanks for the update Maryn! I've been thinking about you. I wish you much luck with your IVF cycle(s) and am keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky baby for you! I totally understand the desire to carry a child and have been going through some emotional crap myself too since my ectopic. I too have been eating pretty bad lately due to the emotional stuff.
Please keep us posted!
