For me and my spouse we know exactually what we want, and as soon as we heard it - we knew it was perfect!!
If we have a girl it will be Madison Anne, if it is a boy it will be John Mathew
The reasons: I love the Madison and it means daughter of Matthew (which is my spouses name) as for the middle name - it is the same as mine, my moms, and Matts mom.. just seemed like the right thing to do. The only question is do we use the "e" on Anne or not. My mother in law does not have an "e"
For the boy names, my spouses name is Jonathan Matthew (but goes by Matthew), and his father is John, and his best friends name is John - so we are going to go with John in honour of his friend and father. His father is no longer with us.
Cheers,
Carrie

I'm one that likes the 1st name to be something different and one I haven't heard before but fits into our society. The middle name on all 3 of my kids (and will be with this one as well) are all given after a family member. My oldest son is Tresten Dale (after his dad's middle name and his grandpa's name). My daughter's name is Katriel Florence (after my grandma that I loved and adored), my youngest son is named Davin Pavel (after my husband) and this baby more than likely will be Kendin Leos (after my husbands dad and grandfather). My 1st 2 children are from my previous marriage and my last 2 are from my current marriage. My husband is from Czech Republic and at 1st I wanted to use a Czech name, but with my 1st son, nothing seemed to fit or sound right so we went with something more American sounding with a Czech middle name. With this one we looked again at Czech names but decided because my 1st 2 sons names ended in the "n" sound, that this one would fit to have the same thing. Oh and with my 1st marriage we wanted our boy's name to start with "T" because my ex's name was Timothy and our girls name to start with "K" after Kerri (my name). I also have a couple of baby book names, but only got my daughters name from one. My 1st son I thought of on my own (which is close to Tristan but my son's name is pronounced just as it looks). My daughters name is pronounced Kate-tree-l and my son Davin's name (sounds like David but with an N) was from suggestions i got from this board over 3 years ago. Kendin was spelled Kindin in the baby book, but we like it with the "e" sound better than the "i" sound.
Best of luck on your fun journey and picking out names!
Personaly I believe if you love the name then that's all that matters, because YOU are the one who is going to be using it the most...lol
