Meli, I soooo feel what you're going through!  I was the same way... and it's frustrating when you know everything is working as it should but you don't get pregnant when you want to (especially when you want it now!)

Remember, things happen as they should and when they should.  We just don't always know when that is!

On one hand, trying the accupuncture may not be a bad idea, on the other hand, if it is unsuccessful, it'll make you feel more frustrated!  How many months altogether have you been trying??  Most experts say it takes on average 6-9 months to conceive a child!  It doesn't happen overnight even when all systems are go!

You need to do what you feel is right for you, if you think the accupuncture would help, go for it.  I unfortunately haven't read any studies, so don't know what the statistics look like on this.

I can tell you one thing each time I got pregnant, it wasn't when I was trying.  It was when I thought ok, if i do fine, if i don't that's ok.  (Kinda of like when you're looking for love, it happens when you aren't looking!)

Whatever you choose to do.... don't get too frustrated!  (that's a helluva lot easier said than done, I know)

Best to you!
Linda

Hi Meli,
I've been going to an accupuncturist off and on for atleast the last 2 years. She's one of the people in my life who actually convinced me that doing my VSG may be a great idea. I've been struggling with infertility for over 5 years and it's one of the few things that helps me keep my sanity when things are getting a bit much for me. I find that going to my appointments (when I make it over there) I feel so much better!

It helps me feel balanced and like I'm taking time to do something for me, no guilt. It's like going to get a massage, you feel better after you have it. I hope you find a good one, and they usually take time to do a very thorough interview, they check your eyes, tongue, and take your "Chinese Medicine Pulse" using three fingers on your wrist. Make sure your person is licensed in your state and has had the proper training. Randine Lewis is a agreat author to read up on the benefits of Chinese Medicine for fertility. Just look her up on Amazon.

I hope it works for you!
