Update-Good News!
I saw the OB this week. I gained 1lb! They were so excited and so was I. I basically ate junk the entire time between appointments-whatever that stayed down and didn't cause pain. I'm trying to intergrate more protein this week. The OB I saw this week was the one I saw when I was initially admitted to the hosptial. She left the next day for a medical conference and had been dying to see me since she came back. While at the conference, she attended a seminar on complications of gastric bypass patients and pregnancy. She said I was the only patient she thought about while at this conference and when she came back, she had a meeting with the other OBs. She told them that they had been very lucky to have treated other GB patients that had no complications, but that they had to do what was necessary to make sure I make it thru the next few weeks as comfortable as possible.
I was so relieved that she went to this seminar. She also coordinated phone calls between her practice, my bariatric surgeon and perinatologist. I had an appointment with the dietitian from my bariatric office this week and she gave me a few suggestions. The perinatologist is on board with the pain meds and will not comment further. I almost cried in the office when she told me all she did when she got back. I told her about my frustration and she said that's why she did it. She felt her office was passing me along and not getting to the bottom of the issue. She said the OB office needed to take the lead and get everyone else in line. My pain has been well managed and I feel like my funk is getting better. If I make it to 39 weeks, she said they will probably induce me because they want me to get my surgery ASAP. I also discussed with her the breastfeeding issue and she stated that due to the amount of stress my body and mind are under, she does not recommend breastfeeding and that I should bottle feed. She put that in my chart and will let the lactation consultants at the hosptial know not to visit my room after I deliver.
I really feel like I can make it these last 6 weeks now that everyone is on board. That's it for now, I've been sitting up for too long as it is.

That's great! I'm so glad she took the steps to be proactive in your care and is doing something about it! Glad everyone's on the same page now! Makes it a lot less stressful for you and it maximizes your care so you're getting properly taken care of!
