TTC list for 8/28/11

Happy Sunday to the TTC ladies!
How is everyone doing? Camilitary - how did your saline sonogram go? Any new BFP's from the ladies that were in the 2WW?
Cheri - I changed your TTC status... hopefully it sounds ok? Let me know if you want me to change it to something else!

I am on my very first clomid cycle. I'm nervous about it because its something different for me, and I am nervous by nature. I started to experience some EWCM yesterday, so am anticipating ovulation in the next few days. I am also monitoring with OPK's, but haven't gotten a positive yet. I am also following the Egg Meet Sperm plan. Essentially you BD a lot! Every other day from CD 10 until positive OPK, then every day for 4 days, then skip a day, then BD one more day. Luckily for me, DH is totally onboard :) This is the most we have ever BD'ed in a month! (hopefully not too TMI) but its all part of the process right?

Some common terms:

TTC – trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN – big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD – the day of your menstrual cycle
O – ovulation
DPO – days past ovulation
LP – luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF – aunt flow ( your period)
PG – pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE – reproductive endocrinologist
OPK – ovulation prediction kit
CL – coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met – metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD – baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD – doing the deed
IUI – inter uterine insemination
IVF – in vitro fertilization
PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS – pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW – two week wait…time from ovulation until you can test for pg

You can remove me from the TTC List for now. Waiting until after Wedding in December.

I'm in the 2WW. If no BFP this month, it's off the the perinatologist we go!!

Oh good luck! I'm with you on the waiting period and with this being the timeline for us to actually seek more in-depth medical assistance. I know you're crossing your fingers too.. hope it goes well!

PS I am starting my fulltime nights this week; I am not sure how much I will be stopping by for a few weeks until I get completely use to the change. HUGS

You can remove me for now, upcoming business trip to India has things on hold. Hope to be back on spring of next year!
