Surgeversary and TTC Update
Today marks 8 years since I made one of the best decisions of my life and had my RNY. I am about 10 lbs higher than my lowest weight ever but still 20 lbs below the goal weight my surgeon had for me. This after 8 years and having Emad almost 4 years ago. Needless to say I think that is not bad. Of course, Ramadan has helped with some recent weight loss LOL but hey, I will take it! Other than anemia which I have had issues with just about my whole life, I am healthy and happy. TTC was put on hold because A- It was not going so well and B- I leave for India soon. Originally I was going in December however my trip was pushed up to October and I will be there through January…I leave a week before Emad’s 4th bday which I was so bummed about but just means his amazing party will be a week sooner! Anyhow, that’s the update….and hopefully this time next year we will be expecting #2 if all goes well as my appt with the specialist we used last time iwth Emad is already set for next year!
Congrats on doing so well w/your surgery and making it work for you to keep you healthy. Happy surgiversary!
I hope you enjoy India. The person who's working in my office there was someone I worked with 19+ years ago when I started w/my work in Oregon...he and his family love it. India's on my list of places to visit someday...but will wait until DS is off to college b/c he insistes he doesn't want to go there...so it'll be some place DH and I go alone to. I think (not sure) that you're going at a good time of year, coming up on their winter etc, so less rain, heat and humidity. Be sure and post some pictures in fb and tell me what it's like - ie let me know if it's some place worth going to! Any chance DH and Emad will be able to come visit you?
Prayers for a stick BFP as soon as you're home and ready to ttc.

Hey Holly....from what I have seen and heard from other co workers I think I will enjoy it. I am traveling by way of Dubai with a 2 day layover so that will be nice too and company is paying for business class flights so who can complain! LOL Hopefully I will get some sightseeing in but all depends. Don't think hubby and Emad will make it out as they will be in Canada and/or Morocco but thats ok....absence makes the heart grow fonder right! And hubby is gonna really get to see things from my side now!
I just spent the night in Dubai last weekend coming back from Indonesia (took DS on R&R to see his friends). It's a shopper's paradise if money's no object, but they have some things that look fun to do (shopping's not fun if I can't/won't afford it). You could go skiing (in the underground snow city) or go down the huge water slide. LOL - I'd tell you to buy some gold - they have entire shopping malls that are nothing but gold stores - but I'm sure you know the going price of it. They actually had one-kilo bars of gold for sale at a jewelry store at the airport. I laughed at the thought of me coming home w/that and explaining that that was my souvenier from my trip. That would go over well.
A business class upgrades will make the trip much less painful. We've done it occasionally flying around and now DS is always asking 'Do we get to go business class?!' He even reminds me of the travel regulations for upgrades.
