Yesterday morning I got a positive! I was so nervous I made my husband read the digital readout and he got to be excited first. I went in promptly for a blood test and my numbers were great. I have another blood test on Friday to make sure everything is going great.

I'm so excited as this was our first IUI and all of those fertility drugs made me pretty crazy. I was on the second cycle post HSG and on clomid, bravelle and a trigger shot.
I was totally prepared for a negative as they only gave us a 10% chance. God works in great ways.

I'm hoping my first ultrasound can be near my birthday on the 31st if all goes well on Friday. And if everything is right then I'd be due right around my husbands birthday in April. That would be wonderful timing.

Congratulations!

Where else to give early news? I told LOTS of people! I figured if something went wrong, I would want the support of my family and friends to help me through a potentially devestating time. So both our mothers know, my sister, some cousins, some aunts/uncles, some friends, some coworkers...

I'm sure I've told more that I know by just smiling when they've asked my how my IUI went. We told my parents, sister and our pastors. But I guess I'm just nervous after all I've done to try to do this. Maybe I should just be celebrating more and worrying less!
