Wednesday night I went to the ER because I was having really bad diarrhea and I was concerned about being dehydrated. They were looking for a heartbeat just to make sure that the baby was OK. There was no heartbeat :( I went in Thursday night to be induced. I got the 1st dose of medicine around midnight. The 2nd dose was given at 4. I was only 1cm but wasnt having any really painful contractions. At 5 they had increased to what felt like really bad gas cramps so I asked for I.V pain medicine. At 7 they had gotten more painful, not bad enough that they were not tolerable but I asked for them to check me because if I had not dialated I wanted an epidural. I was scared of waiting to long and having the pain become intense and since I knew it was going to be an emotionally hard delivery I wanted the physical pain to be gone. Anyway the nurse checked me and I was 10 cm but my water was still intact. The Dr. came in and said that he wanted to try and deliver her with my sac intack to minimize the possibility of physical trauma to her since they deliver in what ever position they are in. He wanted to wait about 20 minutes before pushing to see if the baby and sac would come down a little.  As soon as he left the midwife came in and I said that I was feeling pressure. I pushed once and the baby was born in the sac along with the placenta. Her official time of birth was 7:21 A.M on Friday August 12, 2011. Her name is Reese Abigail. She was 7.5 inches and weighed 3.8 ounces. I was 17 weeks 1 day when I delivered but they dont know for sure how long she had been dead for, They immediately could see what the cause of death was. The cord was aound her neck 3 times. It was so tight that her neck was white where the cord was. I held her and spent time with her. I havent cried yet because it doesnt seem real. I came home from the hospital today and am waiting for the emotional bomb to be dropped. Any prayers are welcomed. Thanks Again for all your support and encouragement during this difficult time.
