 hey guys,

i just had to share this! my sister in law just had a baby yesterday and get this...he just happened to be born on his big brother's first bday!!! she had both boys on the same day exactly a year apart!! what are the odds? i have never seen that before. its so cool. just had to share :)

also i'm going to the RE today. not looking forward to that internal ultrasound (am i right ladies?). just my luck, i finally get to a point in life where i can do an ultra sound and its changed from this fun exciting unevasive thing to here let me shove this giant thing super far up your vagina. sheesh.

this is my first time at the RE since before surgery when i started the pregnancy process last time. but i quickly cut it short when i opted for surgery. now i'm finally ready to do it for reals! :) hoping for good news. hoping my body is doing better than last time.

ps i'm 1 week into my 2 week wait. thank goodness i'm keeping so busy!! i have something going on pretty much every day till tuesday. and next week i'll find out right before my trip to NYC for my cousin's wedding. i'm supposed to get my period next wed and we leave sat morning. so i figure most of my bleeding will be done by sunday and the wedding is monday night so i won't be miserable. or....you know....there's a chance i could be going to NYC with a big secret. :)

I was born on my twin sisters 3rd bday.   We didn't like it though cause we always got the same thing but in different colors....it sucked....until we became adults and we will go out on the town for our celebration and had a blast.  Good luck at your appt today maybe you will get good news.

haha yeah that must suck for the kids but its easy for the parents right? lol.

the apt went well. they just took some blood. no ultrasound. he said if i get my period next week to call him and he wants to set up an ultrasound for right before ovulation to make sure my eggs are ripening. :)

thanks!  yeah i had surgery so that it would be easier for me to get pregnant and raise a child. so i'm really hoping that losing all this weight helped a lot. i'll find out next time i ovulate and they take a look at my eggs to see if they're ripening.

Let me know how it goes! I just made an appt to go see my RE after surgery. The hormones weren't affecting me enough to do an egg collection the first time. It is one of the big reasons I had the surgery. Good luck to you!

That's pretty cool!
The ultrasound isn't bad, they did my first pregnancy u/s that way. I've had one years ago when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I think they get a better look at everything that way!
Hope everything goes well!

I love it when weird things happen like that. I have a cousin whose birthday is in May (14th, I think), and they year she was born, it was Mother's Day (you know how Mother's Day changes dates because it's always on a Sunday). She had her son on the SAME day AND it was Mother's Day again! I always thought that was pretty cool.

The internal ultrasound isn't that horrible. Don't get me wrong, it's not PLEASANT, but it's not painful or anything. I have had them twice to check for ovarian cysts.

Good luck with the remaining week of waiting!

My younger sister and I share the same birthday, just 4 years apart.  We hated it because we always had parties on the same day and we always had to share a cake....I still remember that God Awful Ninja Turtles cake we had when she was turning 6 and I was turning 10.....she got to pick the cake that year.....

Hi Meli!
If you're going to an RE the "magic wand" will quickly become a frequent experience, by the time I was half way thru my TTC experience with my RE, I had one of those things everytime I went to see him it seemed. And you get so used to having people look your Va-J-J that you will get really unshy real quick. Pap's, Vaginal U/S's are nothing now. I really hope this is our month!!!

Best of luck Meli!!
