I'm sure I'm not the first to ask, but...possible false negative HPT?

Will let you know as soon as I know - doc said to call her office if I haven't heard from them by 3pm (it's going to be a long day!).
I hope this is it, and I agree, FRERs have been awful for the last 8-12 months (I had other tests that were stealing dye from the control line and the FRER barely registered as positive).
That said, the hormone released after ovulation, progesterone, is what causes PMS symptoms. After I got regular (about 4-6 months after my VSG) I started for the 1st time in my life having real symptoms. We weren't TTC yet and they weren't that bad yet (or I wasn't as aware/looking for symptoms) but by the time we started TTC, I started to notice a lot of the symptoms you mention.
Most cycles my hopes were raised by suddenly sore boobs (I've had my period since I was 11, and I had never had sore boobs!), nausea, exhaustion, back ache, acne, just about any and all (and some you didn't know about) symptom every cycle. I think I told you in another post I ended up taking Vitex to try and balance my hormones and my PMS got way better. I still read too much into every symptom of course, and the irony is my BFP cycle was probably the tamest in terms of symptoms! lol I've actually had quite a symptom free pregnancy, so maybe that's why.
All that said, especialy with the $ tree test I'm pretty sure you're actually knocked up, but I think you would rather not have rainbows blown up your ass. ;) I find knowing that many symptoms are only indicative that progesterone is at work is reassuring, rather than getting one's hopes up every month. At least not TOO high - I don't think any of us who tried for a long time (15 cycles this time, 8 years on and off) can get away with not getting our hopes up!
Seriously crossing my fingers for you!

I thought about it just being PMS, too, and that this morning my boobs are suddenly MUCH less sore isn't helping! I keep checking my underwear for spots, but nothing as of yet...

Alright, so here's the scoop. I'm STILL waiting for the blood test results. They had told me that if I didn't hear from them by 3pm the day after the blood was drawn, to call the office because they usually have the lab results back by about 2. So, I called them at 3:15 only to be told the lab did not yet have the results, and they would be sure to call me "as soon as they came in," which could still be the following afternoon.
Meanwhile, I am understandably impatient, right? So yesterday morning, I got up and used my first morning urine to home test again. I did BOTH a Dollar Tree test AND a First Response. Dollar Tree was again positive, and FR was again negative. Seriously?!
So, with no blood test results yesterday afternoon, I got up and did the same thing again today - one of each test first thing this morning. The Dollar Tree was, yet again, positive (and when I say positive, I don't mean a faint second line - I mean the second line shows up IMMEDIATELY and boldly!). The First Response MAY have had a ridiculously faint second line - at this point, I hope I'm not just looking so hard for a line that I'm seeing things!
So I've had 3 easily readable Dollar Tree positives, 2 clear FR negatives, and a possible super faint FR positive.
Thank goodness for $1 tests (and diminishing confidence in the FR tests so I don't mind wasting them even though I paid significantly more for them!).
Oh, and I verified none of the tests are expired, and the Dollar Tree ones are one per box, so it's not like I got a faulty 3-pack (although they all have the same expiration date so could be from the same "lot" or whatever).
That doc's office better have my lab results today! I'm not going to do any more Dollar Tree tests since it's quite clear Dollar Tree obviously thinks I'm pregnant - I just want the solid confirmation from the blood test before I tell anyone else. My parents are coming to visit this weekend, so I'd like to be able to share the news with them in person (I know some people wait to tell, but I need my mom and sister to know because they are my strongest support system, so if anything ends up going wrong, I need to be able to talk to them about it).
*sigh* off to another excrutiatingly long day at work waiting for my phone to ring...

So sorry you are still waiting. If you're getting a second line right away, though, I think you are pregnant! Eff FRERs. I didn't even have a beta drawn with my second baby - they just had me POAS at the doc office.
Also, symptoms come and go so try not to over-analyze them. Damn near impossible, I know, esp in first pregnancy!

Thanks - my sister told me the same thing about the symptoms. I may even be helping to alleviate some of them by having been drinking more water these last few days and cutting our all Diet Pepsi (which has some ingredients that I believe can contribute to inflammation). And since I'm eating overall less junk and less in quantity due to the appetite change and sporadic nausea, I've also lost 3 pounds this week (still not at my lowest, though, since I had gained a bit back before my vacation).
