Birth Control pills after LapBand

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and I have started to think about protection after having my baby. I don't want to go with something like Mirena or Nuvaring and can't say that I am absolutely finished having kids to get my tubes tied. I had decided to just start on birth control pills after giving birth but read somewhere..not sure if it was on here or not.... that taking the pill after having LapBand isn't a good idea because our bodies don't absorb the pill like before. Is this true? I have never heard of this or even given it a thought. Has anyone heard of this or any stories either way?? I would appreciate the input!

i could be wrong but i believe thats with just the rny, sleeve and other major surgery...i don't think that you have any non absorbtion problems with the lapband...

Lapband is not a malabsorption surgey. So, you can take birth control.
