I started taking it Tuesday ( i got off the pill a week and a half ago) and its supposed to balance your sugar levels for ppl who have normal sugar levels. or something like that. well its smelly and strong tasting. it smells and tastes like celery root. i'm like ok so this is hardcore stuff. what i noticed is that it made me fall asleep shortly after i drank it. the first time i had just finished eating an atkins bar with 2g of sugar. i thought i had fallen into a sugar coma (hyperglycemic) and i was like oh no! but it only had 2g of sugar! then the next day i drank it again and ate nothing after and fell asleep again. i deduced it was the tea. i don't think it was a sugar spike. my husband suggested it was making my sugar drop and i was getting hypoglycemic. i wasn't sure if that was bad for me or not. i don't have diabetes but i do have PCOS and i know too much sugar is bad for me.
i tried to look up reviews everywhere i could find them and people only had good things to say. along with balancing sugars its supposed to help balance hormones for menstruating women and women going through menopause. everyone on the reviews talked about how it made them so regular. i took the tea because i have pcos and i could use help balancing my sugars and i really wanted to regulate my cycle.
we looked up info on low blood sugar. if its too low you get the shakes, headaches, etc etc etc. i didn't get any of that. i just get sleepy. my husband says i should stay up and i could burn more calories. so i was just wondring if anyone else had tried this tea and what they thought about it.
on another note i am officially ovulating!!!!! i took the test 3 days ago and only got 1 line. then yesterday i got 2 lines but the test line was too light. this morning i had 2 strong lines! woohoo!! i've never seen 2 lines, i pretended it was a pregnancy test :) but i'm sooo proud of my body! iread it could take months for your body to bounce back after the pill. the fact that i'm already ovulating is such a great sign. i have high hopes to for TTC. and now that i know how it feels to ovulate i know what to look for next month.
not sure if my body did this on its own or if the tea had anything to do with it.

After ovulation is a woman'****eal Phase. This is the last half of the cycle. Prior to ovulation is the folicular phase. Each phase is approximately 2 weeks long. So, after ovulation you have approximately 2 weeks until you get your period or find out you are pregnant. A normal LP length is anywhere from 11-16 days or something like that. Most women consider 14 days post ovulation to be enough time to test with a home pregnancy test. Some women get positive pregnancy tests as early as 9 or 10 days after ovulation.
So, its called the 2 week wait because thats how long you have to wait to see if you got pregnant during ovulation! Its a long time to wait when you are excited and wanting to know!
Good luck!
