VBAC anyone have luck?
Just wondering what others think about this...
So I am 38w3d I am at 1cm yesterday and cervix is thinning but not all the way yet... OB says the tissue is soft and baby is head down meaning everything is going right... My worry is I am trying a VBAC. Now my fisrt was a Vaginal Birth but I was induced 10days after my due date... My section was with my twins cuz they wouldnt stay head down. I am due Aug 13th. and my mother leaves to go back to Texas on the 12th. I was suppose to have a section at 38weeks but the doctor changed that cuz I had my gallbladder out at 31weeks and it didnt bring on labor or anything which is awesome... I am thinking in my head I will make it to my due date, then they will schedule a section anyways since u can't be induced after a section... My mother will be gone by then and I won't have any help with my kids while I am in the hospital... I just don't think I am capable to go into labor on my own... kinda feeling like a failure...

I felt the same way! I was for sure that I was not going to go on my own, and I had to be "induced" with all 3. The first was the only with pitocin. I do not know if it is an option to just have them break your bag of water to see if your body would go on it own that way. Not sure if that is not allowed possibly?
My doctors did because they said I had what is called a proven uterus, meaning that I had a successful vaginal birth before. So with both boys they broke my water and it put me into labor almost immediately and I did not have any pitocin with either! Might be worth checking into
Good luck! Sorry I do not know about the VBAC.
I can't believe you are already this close!!!!

I would be getting a membrane sweep at every appt if I were you. I went into labor about 36 hours after I had mine swept when I was 1 cm dilated. I attempted a VBAC but it didn't work out due to a malpositioned baby (and he'd passed meconium so I figured it would be a good idea to get him born ASAP.)
I hope you go naturally before your due date. My midwives were willing to do a slow Pitocin drip induction if I didn't go by 42 weeks, but I went into labor at 40 weeks 5 days.
I agree with the other poster... have him sweep your membranes and sweep them good!! With my first, my doc did his... she says Linda... hold my hand because I'm going to really sweep them and it isn't going to feel good and I don't want you to hit me. (she was a riot) Went into labor 24 hours later.
If it doesn't happen, please don't feel like a failure!!! Is there anyone else who can help with the kiddos???
Take care and best wishes!!!
