Ok so I'm almost 37 weeks....I've been having discharge, which is normal I know. But last night I felt like I was leaking. It felt like I was having a period. It's been going on all day now! Is this normal?? I haven't had any more contractions (BH or otherwise) than normal. I hate to go back to l&d for another $150 for something that's normal! I have an appointment on Thursday morning. Do I wait or...??

I had discharge and leaking alot towards the end with Bella. If it's soaking a pad I would go in. I had 2 false alarms with water breaking so they got to know my face. Haha!! I would call your on call OB.

Thank you for responding!! Not soaking a pad and is clear-ish. No sign of the plug yet either. If it gets more or anything changes I'll call the dr tomorrow. I've been to l&d once because she wasn't moving as much as normal. Just had the hospital tour yesterday!

You should get checked out! I started to leak at 32 weeks with my first baby. there is risk of infection still if that is what it is. To me, $150 is a small price to pay for reassurance. What I was feeling was a little dampness in the morning when I woke up, and did not even fill a pad... Luckily the leak sealed itself back up.

I always think that if you're really worried, it's better to see a pro, but I can tell you that with both girls I "leaked" for the last two weeks. Some say its cervical fluid as your body prepares and the cervix begins to thin, sometimes it was urine for me, gross, I know. And, your body will continue to lubricate the birth canal and such until delivery. So, I guess what I am saying is that "leaking" is totally normal for me. :-) Can't believe you're so near the end!

if you think you are leaking then you need to go to l&d and not care about the $150 dollars. When you have an open sac, that means bacteria can get into it cause infection. THATS why dr's push to have babies so quickly after water breaks, because of that chance. IF you are having period like cramps...those are contractions. NOT BH. get in there get it checked and i bet if you call your dr they will tell you the same.
